Huawei has launched its latest fitness watch; the Honor S1 in China yesterday, and today the Chinese company has started offering the same wearable device to consumers in the US under the name Huawei Fit.
Huawei Fit is a watch-style fitness tracker with an always-on circular monochrome touchscreen mounted inside an aluminum alloy housing. The Fit has a built-in heart rate sensor that continuously monitors your heart rate 24 hours a day, during workouts and rest time. It also enables wearers to measure their heart rate manually or rely on the Fit’s automatic tracking. In addition, the Huawei Fit has running training guidance for 5K, 10K, half marathons and full marathons.
The Huawei Fit automatically detects and tracks the type of sports activities such as; walking, running, hiking, cycling, swimming and even monitors your sleep patterns. It can also track calories burned, steps taken, distance, time and GPS route when synchronized with the Huawei’s Wear app installed on devices running Android 4.4 or iOS 8.0.

Beyond fitness tracking, Huawei Fit’s users can also check incoming calls, caller ID, receive message alerts, set sedentary reminder and alarms. Huawei claims that the Fit’s 80mAh battery can last up to six days between charges with normal use, and up to 30 days when in standby. A full charge takes less than two hours.
The Fit is IP68 rated, making it dust & water-proof up to 5 meters. It comes in a silver or grey finish with black, blue, or orange straps, which can be easily swapped for other 18mm wide straps. The Huawei Fit is priced at $129.99 and is available through Amazon.com, BestBuy.com and Newegg.com.
