Indian smartphone maker, Lava Mobiles is expanding its entry-level smartphone series with the new A79 handset. The Lava A79 is an entry level Android-powered smartphone aimed at local Indian consumers with its affordable retail price.
The Lava A79 packs a 5.5-inch FWVGA (800×480) display, 1.2GHz Quad Core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory with 32GB microSD slot option, 2,200mAh Li-ion battery, dual SIM, 2MP front-facing camera along with a 5MP rear camera with LED flash for both cameras.

The Lava A79 measures 155×78.6×9.2mm and weighs 134 grams and also comes in Gold & Grey colour. The 3G phone ships with the outdated Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system for Rs. 5,699 (~$84 – £57 – €75 – $117 AUD).
