Today, Meizu officially launched a new smartphone in the company’s M series. The Meizu M5 is a 5.2″ handset packed with a 720p HD IPS display and is powered by an octa-core from MediaTek.

The MT6753 Cortex-A53 processor is clocked at 1.3GHz and paired with 3GB of RAM. The Meizu M5 is armed with a choice of storage; 16GB or 32GB of internal memory. There is also a microSD slot option which offers up to 128GB of additional memory.

The Meizu M5s is equipped with a 13-Megapixel main camera enhanced with PDAF, F/2.2 aperture, 5-element lens and a dual-tone LED flash. The secondary camera at the front has a 5-Megapixel lens.

The M5s is fuelled with a 3,000mAh battery, which can be charged from 0 to 19% in just 10 minutes, claimed Meizu.

Other features include; a metal body configured with mTouch fingerprint scanner, and dual-SIM with VoLTE support.

The Meizu M5s comes in black, silver, gold and rose gold colours, and is priced at ¥799 (~$115) for the 16GB version and ¥999 (~$145) for the 32GB model.
