It seems that Nokia’s return to the mobile world business is finally paying off. The company’s first Android-powered smartphone; the Nokia 6 is apparently a big hit in China, generating more than 1 million registrations so far, which is quite impressive.

Clearly, Nokia’s fans are still out there in their millions, at least in China. In fact, at the time of writing this article the total registrations passed 1,061,183. At the moment, the Nokia 6 is exclusive to consumers in China. The device is set to go on flash sale on Thursday January 19th exclusively on China’s JD.com for ¥1,699 (~$247 – £199 – €231).
So, away from the hype and let’s see what the Nokia 6 offers, that other smartphones don’t. Well, it is more about the Nokia brand, rather than the device itself. The Nokia 6 is a mid-range smartphone packed with a 5.5-inch 1080p full-HD 2.5D Gorilla Glass touch screen, Snapdragon 430 processor paired with 4GB of DDR3 RAM and 64GB of expandable internal storage, up to 128GB with a microSD card.

NOKIA 6 GETS UNBOXED AHEAD OF OFFICIAL RELEASE

The Nokia 6 is fuelled by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery, promising to deliver 32 days of standby time and 18 hours of talk time on 3G network. The dual SIM device is 4G LTE Cat. 4 enabled and is capable of delivering download & upload speed of 150Mbps & 50Mbps, respectively.Nokia has equipped the device with respectable cameras; a 16MP camera with PDAF, 1.0um sensor, f/2.0 aperture and dual tone flash at the rear, and also an 8MP camera with 1.12um sensor, f/2.0 aperture and 84° degree wide angle lens at the front. There is also a fingerprint scanner at the front of the Nokia 6.The Nokia 6 will ship with Google’s latest OS; Android 7.0 Nougat alongside Nokia’s custom made user interface, which we can’t wait to try out.
