Japanese Sharp has launched a new smartphone in Taiwan – The Sharp Z2 features a metallic body packed with a powerful MediaTek Helio X20 10-core processor, which is complemented by a generous 4GB of RAM.

The Sharp Z2 also has a 5.5-inch 1080p Full HD display, 32GB of built-in storage with microSD card slot option, 3,000mAh battery, 16MP main camera with PDAF (Phase Detection Auto-Focus) and dual tone LED flash, and there is also an 8MP f/1.8 camera at the front of the device.

Additionally, the new 4G smartphone hosts a USB Type C connector, stereo speakers, Infrared emitter and a fingerprint scanner used as a shutter button. The Sharp Z2 comes in Silver and Gold colour options. It is expected to go on sale in Taiwan first week of September for NT $8,990 (~$285).
