Verizon has launched an 8” tablet for kids – the GizmoTab is designed to jumpstart your child’s learning experience right out of the box.

Customers who get the GizmoTab will also receive a free unlimited access to 300 premium learning apps (valued $600) including: Crayola, DreamWorks Animation, Hasbro, The Jim Henson Company, Highlights for Children, HiT Entertainment, National Geographic, Sesame Workshop, Toca Boca and more.

The GizmoTab learning experience is built around a comprehensive content service designed specifically for kids ages 3–8. What’s more, all of the apps are based on key subject areas, including English language arts, math, science, critical thinking and creativity.

Under the hood, GizmoTab is a full-featured tablet with a 1080p Full HD IPS display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 Octa Core processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable memory, 5,100mAh battery, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera and a full version of Android Marshmallow OS.

The GizmoTab is available from Verizon online and in stores for $79.99 on a 2-year contract, or a full retail price of $249.99. According to Verizon, a standard data plan is required to access the free 300 premium learning apps.
