Google has launched a new Android One smartphone for India in partnership with Indian smartphone vendor Lava International. The new device is called Lava Pixel V1 which comes with a respectable hardware and a very good retail price. The Android One devices are guaranteed to be upgraded to the latest Android OS for the next 2 years.

The new Lava V1 features a slim bezel 5.5-inch 720 x 1280p IPS HD display with Asahi Dragontrail Glass, 267PPI and 76.3% screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.3GHz processor, ARM Mali 400 MP2 (500 MHz) GPU, 2GB of DDR3 RAM and 32GB of built-in storage, expandable up to 32GB via microSD.

The Pixel V1 comes with a 13-Megapixel BSI rear camera (software enhanced 8 MP sensor) with 5P Largan lens, blue glass filter for images with enhanced clarity, flash and f/2.0 aperture.
