French smartphone maker, Archos has introduced another affordable Android smartphone – The new Archos 50d Oxygen is a mid-range 4G smartphone equipped with decent hardware specifications, priced at just £129 and will go on sale in May 2016.
The Archos 50d Oxygen features a black body design with a gold metal contour. It boasts 5.0-inch (1920 x 1080) Full HD IPS screen with 440ppi and Full Lamination that delivers infinite contrasts and extra deep blacks. The device is powered by Mediatek MTK6753 Octa core 1.3 GHz processor combined with ARM T720 MP3 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage with 32GB microSD slot option.
Archos has configured the 50d Oxygen handset with a 13-Megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash. The rear camera is capable of shooting 1080p Full HD videos. The front of the device is equipped with a 5-Megapixel shooter, ideal for video calling with friends and family.
Connectivity wise, the Archos 50d Oxygen runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and supports 4G LTE Cat.4. It has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS, FM, dual SIM slot and micro-USB and 3.5mm headphone ports. The Archos 50d Oxygen measures 141.4 x 70.8 x 8.2mm and weighs 140g with the on-board 2100mAh removable battery.
