A new addition to the ARCHOS’s Diamond family is the ARCHOS Diamond Plus smartphone. The new Diamond Plus handset from the French maker ARCHOS was announced at the beginning of this month at the IFA in Berlin. The device has an eye-catching silver metal body design with a large vivid display.
Powering the ARCHOS Diamond Plus is an Octa-Core Cortex A53 1.5GHz Mediatek MT6753 processor, MaliT720 MP3 GPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB built-in storage with microSD option supports up to 32GB.
The new silver design features a 5.5” inch 1080p FHD IPS touch screen with full lamination. The Diamond Plus has a sleek body with a slight curved silver back-casing. It measures 152.6 x 76.4 x 8.4mm and weighs 176 grams.
The on-board 2850mAh battery has a fast charging capability and can be fully and quickly charged, a great feature especially when you are in a hurry. Capture life with the two cameras clock in at 16MP for the back camera and 8MP for the front. A five element lens of the back camera prevents distortion, and the very wide angle of the front camera is perfect for video calling.
The ARCHOS Diamond Plus is 4G/LTE capable (bands: 800 / 1800 / 2600Mhz) and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. Other features include; Dual Micro SIM and Dual Active support, Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, Micro-USB and 3.5mm Headphone port.
The ARCHOS Diamond Plus will be available in November 2015 for £179.99 (~ $275 – €250).
