ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom with Dual Rear Camera & 5,000mAh Battery Officially Unveiled

At the ASUS’s Zennovation Las Vegas event at CES 2017, ASUS has officially unveiled its latest built-for-photography smartphone – the new ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom features a dual rear camera and decent front facing shooter.The dual rear camera is equipped with two lenses; 12MP f/1.7 SuperPixel main lens with Sony IMX 362 sensor & 1.4um pixels, 2.5x light sensitivity for low light conditions and Dual Pixel PDAF (Phase Detection Auto-Focus), and also a 12MP secondary lens with 12x total Zoom (hardware and software), 2.3x optical zoom and 59mm focal Length. The ZenFone 3 Zoom camera also takes advantage of the 2nd generation Laser Autofocus and 4 Axis OIS & 3 Axis EIS.With the ZenFone 3 Zoom you can shoot 4K videos and RAW images and also use the Pro Manual mode, which allows you to take control of the shutter speed, EV, ISO and WB settings. The RAW image feature will only be available with the Android Nougat update. At the front of the ZenFone 3 Zoom, there is a respectable 13MP SuperPixel camera with Sony IMX 214 sensor, f/2.0 aperture and screen flash.In addition to its camera capabilities; the ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom features a metal body armed with Snapdragon 14nm 625 Octa-core processor, 5.5-inch 1080p Full HD AMOLED display with 500nits and is protected by the latest Gorilla Glass 5, and also hosts a super large 5,000mAh battery, delivering 6.4 hrs of 4K video recording, 8.5 hrs of social media live streaming and 42 days of standby time. Despite its large battery, the ZenFone 3 Zoom still measures 7.99mm thin and weighs 170 grams.The ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom comes in three colours; Navy Black, Glacier Silver and Rose Gold and will be made available for sale starting next month, February 2017.
