Today in Taipei Taiwan, ASUS officially unveiled a new budget-friendly smartphone in the company’s ZenFone Pegasus series. The ASUS ZenFone Pegasus 3S features a metal body design which comes in three colours; Silver, Gold and Rose Gold.

Powering the ZenFone Pegasus 3S is the MediaTek MT6750 octa-core 1.5GHz processor, 3GB of RAM and a rather large 5,000mAh removable battery. The device also hosts an option of 32GB or 64GB of internal memory with microSD slot option.

With the ZenFone Pegasus 3S you can take advantage of the Sony IMX258 lens and capture still photos and videos using the 13MP f/2.0 primary camera and view them on the 5.2-inch 720p HD IPS 2.5D touchscreen. The camera also uses PDAF (Phase Detection Auto-Focus) and 78.4º wide angle lens. There is also an 8MP f/2.0 secondary camera with 85º wide angle lens at the front.The ASUS ZenFone Pegasus 3S is also equipped with a fingerprint scanner and runs Google’s latest OS; Android 7.0 Nougat alongside the company’s user interface. ASUS will start offering the ZenFone Pegasus 3S in China this month with 4GB RAM+64GB ROM for ¥1,999 (~$288).

ASUS also launched the newly unveiled ZenFone 3 Zoom, which features a 4K dual rear camera, Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM, 5.5-inch Gorilla Glass 5 Full-HD screen and a respectable 5,000mAh battery. The 128GB version of the ZenFone 3 Zoom will go on sale for ¥3,699 (~$533) in Q1 2017.
