Chinese Gionee has officially announced its new lineup of ‘A’ series smartphones – A1 and A1 Plus – at the Mobile World Congress 2017.

The A-series are equipped with a 20MP front-facing camera and 13MP+5MP dual rear cameras. Both the Gionee A1 and A1 Plus feature long life, fast charging batteries. The A1 Plus sports a 4,550mAh battery, while the A1 has a 4,010mAh battery, providing enough power to get users through the day.

The Gionee A1 Plus is powered by MediaTek Helio P25 processor, whereas the Gionee A1 is powered by MediaTek Helio P10. Both devices are armed with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM, and also run Android 7.0 Nougat from the word go.

Gionee has also embedded Waves MaxxAudio processing inside the A1 & A1 Plus series by collaborating with Waves Audio, the world-leading developer of audio DSP technologies and a recipient of a Technical GRAMMY Award, coupled with A1 Plus’ stereo speaker system, delivering a more powerful and lifelike sonic experience to users.
