Google Chromebook Pixel 2 was announced at the beginning of March and we know now that the new device will be available to order in the UK on April 21st. The new Chromebook Pixel comes with many improvements, one feature that is especially exciting is universal charging, data, and display in the form of USB Type-C.
The new Chromebook Pixel 2 comes with the latest USB Type-C which enables multi-device charging and also allows high-speed data and display over the same connector and cable. It’s small enough to work with smartphones, powerful enough to charge computers, and conveniently symmetrical. Speaking of symmetry, the new Pixel doesn’t just have one Type C port—it has two, one on each side, so you can plug in wherever is convenient
The Chromebook Pixel 2 is powered by Intel Core 5th gen 2.2GHz / 2.4GHz processor, and packed with a choice of RAM, an 8GB or 16GB for top speed. It has a 12-inch hi-res touchscreen display which has a 239ppi pixel density, 2560×1700 resolution, Intel HD graphics for super bright clarity and 3:2 aspect ratio with 178° extra-wide viewing angle.
The Chromebook Pixel 2 is packed with 32GB or 64GB of flash storage and has battery life of up to 12 hours of use and supports Fast-charging so you can get 2 hours of power in just 15 minutes of charge.
It is also equipped with 720P HD wide angle front-facing camera with blue glass, Backlit Chrome keyboard, a Fully clickable etched-glass trackpad, an SD card reader, a headphone+mic combo port, 2x USB 3.0 and 2x USB Type-C slots.
In terms of connectivity, the Chromebook Pixel 2 comes with Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11ac (supports a/b/g/n/ac) 2.4 and 5.0GHz, 2×2 spatial streams and Bluetooth v4.0 BR/EDR/LE Smart Ready controller

The new Chromebook Pixel has two retail prices; £799 for the Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM, 32GB SSD version, and £999 for Intel Core i7, 16GB RAM, 64GB SSD model. It will be available to buy online from Google‘s own website and also from the UK retail group Dixons on 21st April.
