The colours of the Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro have been confirmed by Google Japan in a new bizarre chip tweet.
The Google Pixel 7, along with its Pro brother, the Pixel 7 Pro, is one of the few large phones that are still scheduled to be released in 2022. The colours that these models will be available in were accidentally revealed through a series of a rather odd potato chip posts by the company’s official Twitter account in Japan.
Google Japan has published a message on Twitter as well as on its official website, in which it demonstrates the four distinct colourway and links each one to a distinct flavour of potato chip that it has developed.
There is Hazel Onion for the phone that is an off-green colour, Salty Lemon for the version that is a Lime Green colour, Obsidian Pepper for the handset that is Black, and Snow Cheese for the handset that is White.
It is important to note that the Pixel 7 standard is depicted in Google's photos as having a black and lime green colour scheme, whilst the Pixel 7 Pro has an off-green and white colour scheme. It is unclear whether this is for illustration purposes or whether some shades would be restricted to specific phones. It is possible that both of these possibilities are true.
It is important to note that these are not the actual names of the colour options for the Pixel 7 range. Google has basically used food to advertise its Pixel phones in the past. For example, some Pixel 4 devices were shipped in fun cereal-box-style packages, whereas the Pixel 6 devices were paired with crisps once more. Therefore, it appears to be some kind of strange marketing gimmick, albeit one that does show us the phones' colours in all of their splendour.

Based on our findings, we do not believe that Hazel Onion, Obsidian Pepper, or Salty Lemon are true flavours of anything. However, according to some sources, Snow Cheese is a powdered item in Korean cuisine that is formed of cheese, garlic, and onion and is used to garnish specific dishes. We're going to assume that this is just a coincidence given that the teasers were only published on Google Japan's social media channels.
We have already seen a lot of these hues previously, as Google has really already shown off the Pixel 7 smartphones earlier this year, but these fresh photographs indicate something completely different. The Google Pixel 7 lineup will be made available to shoppers on October 6th.
