Chinese Honor is set to lift the curtains on it new smartphone; the Honor X40 on Sept 15. The event will take place in the company’s home town; Chine. During the event, new models of the MagicBook will also be introduced, in addition to the Honor Tab X8 and the Honor X40 5G.
Honor has been gradually unveiling the primary characteristics of the X40 smartphone, however, a recent leak from a trustworthy source called Digital Chat Station has disclosed the full technical specifications of the upcoming phone.
The full specifications of the Honor X40 5G
The Honor X40 5G will come with a 6.67-inch OLED screen. The display will have a Full-HD resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate, high-frequency PWM dimming, and 10-bit colours. The photographs of the phone that have been circulating so far have shown that the display will be curved around the edges and will also have a punch hole in the middle of the screen. It appears to have an integrated fingerprint sensor within the panel itself.

In terms of the optics, the Honor X40 5G will come with a front-facing camera that has an effective resolution of 8 mega pixels. Its back panel contains a 50-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel auxiliary camera. The upcoming phone will also include a novel circular camera layout, as evidenced by the official photographs that have been released very recently.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC is said to power the Honor X40 5G. The Honor X30 5G, the device's predecessor, which was released in December 2021, is powered by the same processor, so no changes there. The battery however, will have a capacity of 5,100 mAh, and it will be able to charge at 40 watts. As for OS, Magic UI 6.1, is an operating system that is derived from Android 12, will be used to power the new handset.

As for space and RAM, the memory and storage capacity of the Honor X40 5G are not mentioned in the leak, but it is highly likely that the smartphone will come configured with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage, much like its predecessor. In conclusion, the Honor X40 will have a dimension of approximately 161.6 x 73.9 x 7.9 mm and will weigh approximately 172 grams.
