The phone is available as a SIM-Free option for £399.99, and also on a monthly contract starting at £19.00 per month with £0.00 handset fee on Vodafone, giving you unlimited text, 500 minutes and 500MB of 4G data on a 24-month contract.

Under the hood, the HTC U Play employs MediaTek Helio P10 Octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in storage with microSD slot option, 2500mAh battery with Quick Charge and USB Type C connector. The device’s 5.2-inch LCD screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, and also has 1080×1920 pixels resolution and pixel density of 428 PPI (Pixels Per Inch).

In the camera department, there is a 16-Megapixel camera lens at the front and rear, the latter uses a dual-LED flash and can also record Full HD 1080p videos at 30 fps. The HTC U Play comes with Android 6 Marshmallow which is expected to be upgradable to Android 7 Nougat.
