Huawei will hold a media event in London next month, on April 15th to unwrap its flagship smartphone. According to Jie Jinjin, Huawei’s Vice President of handsets, Europe was chosen for the event over the U.S. because that is where the company is selling a large number of its high-end smartphones.

As the release date of the Ascend P8 is getting closer, more teasers and leaks are flooding the social media websites, this time the drawings of the Huawei Ascend P8 have been leaked by the French website, Nowhereelse.

According to these drawings; the exact dimensions of the Ascend P8 will be 144.9 x 71.9 x 6.6mm. Also from the designs; the speakers and the micro-USB port are positioned at the bottom of the Ascend P8. The volume rockers are alongside the On/Off button, microSD and SIM slots are all on the right hand-side. The 3.5mm headphone port is positioned at the top edge of the device. At the back there is the camera lens with dual flash, also there is a space for fingerprint scanner for authentication, which is expected to come on-board of the new device.

According to previous Huawei’s Teasers, the Huawei Ascend P8 will be affordable and will come with the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The device is also set to have a flat rear camera, unlike the iPhone 6 and Samsung’s latest flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S6 & S6 Edge which have raised back cameras. Also the Ascend P8 is expected to have a good battery life.

The Huawei Ascend P8 will feature a metal design similar to the MediaPad X2 phablet and is expected to have a 5.2-inch Full-HD 1920×1080 resolution display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4, packed with 32GB / 64GB of internal storage with 3GB of RAM, a 64-bit octa-core 2.0GHz Kirin 930 processor, and a 2600mAh battery.

It is also expected to run Android 5.0 Lollipop and to come with a 13-Megapixel flat rear camera and an 8MP front-facing shooter. The Ascend P8 will support 4G network connectivity and is expected to be available in Amber Gold and Moonlight Silver body with an affordable price point.
