After the launch of the P9 smartphone series, Chinese Huawei today has launched the new G9 Lite smartphone alongside the Mediapad M2 7.0 tablet in China.

The Huawei G9 Lite is a 4G mid-range handset equipped with a 5.2-inch 1080p Full HD display, Kirin 650 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz and paired with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be supplement by a microSD card.

The G9 Lite is also configured with a rear fingerprint sensor, 13MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. Powering the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and EMUI 4.1 user interface is a 3,000mAh built-in battery.

Moving to swiftly to the Huawei Mediapad M2, which was available in a 10.1″ and an 8.0″ displays, however today Huawei is adding the 7.0″ variant to it inventory. The dual SIM 7” tablet comes with a 1920x1200px display, fingerprint sensor positioned at the side of the device, 13MP rear and 5MP front cameras, 4,360mAh battery, Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor combined with Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB of RAM.

The Huawei G9 Lite comes in white, black and gold at a price of ¥1699 (~$260). The MediaPad M2 7.0 costs ¥1599 (~$245) for the 16GB model and ¥1799 (~$276) for the 32GB. The 7-inch tablet comes in white, blue, pink and gold colours, while the 10.1-inch model only comes in white and black and starts at ¥1499 (~$230). Sales kicks off on May 13th, however pre-orders are open to Chinese consumers from today.
