Today Huawei has launched a new budget friendly smartphone under the Honor brand in China. The new Honor 5C is an ideal phone for first time smartphone users or those who are on the look for a cheap handset.
The Huawei Honor 5C features a metal body design configured with a 5.2-inch 1080p Full HD display, 1.7GHz Kirin 650 octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, which can be increased with a microSD card.
The Honor 5C hosts a 3,000mAh battery and is equipped with a 13MP main camera with LED flash and an 8MP secondary shooter at the front with f/2.0 aperture. The phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS alongside Huawei’s custom made user interface.
In addition to its metal body, the phone also has a fingerprint scanner positioned at the rear of the device, dual SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. Huawei is offering the new Honor 5C in a choice of colours including; silver, grey and gold.
As for price and availability, the Huawei Honor 5C 3G model is priced at ¥899 CNY (~$138 – £95 – €122) and ¥100 CNY more for the 4G model. The Honor 5C is available for local consumers in China, however global Honor fans just have to wait for further updates for global availability.
