The Huawei nova Y61 2022, featuring a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 5,000 mAh battery, was recently announced.

The Huawei nova Y61 is the newest low-cost smartphone in the nova series. Huawei’s international website is now showing the new device alongside its primary specifications.

Huawei’s nova Y61 has a 6.52-inch IPS LCD screen with HD+ resolution and a regular 60Hz refresh rate. A waterdrop-shaped notch houses the 5 megapixel front-facing camera. Besides its 50MP primary camera with an F1.8 aperture, the Nova Y61 also features a 2MP macro camera and a depth module. The phone has an unidentified octa-core chipset, 4/6GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage space.

EMUI 12 handles software, and the super large 5,000 mAh battery supports fast charging at 22.5W via USB-C. Unfortunately, the phone only works with LTE networks and only supports the antiquated Wi-Fi 802.11n (Wi-Fi 4) protocol.

Huawei’s nova Y61 can be purchased in three colour options; Sapphire Blue, Mint Green, or Black. A release date and price have not been announced.
