Huawei’s upcoming flagship device will be called Mate 9 Pro – a 5.9-inch phablet equipped with a curved screen, similar to the Galaxy S7 edge from Samsung. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro curved-screen variant codenamed Long Island will be made official next month at an event in Munich, Germany, alongside the Mate 9, which is the standard-variant codenamed Manhattan.

The Mate 9 Pro is said to have a Quad-HD touch screen with resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels, and will also support Google’s Daydream VR experience.
