Youtuber; JerryRigEverything has posted a new video of the new iPhone 7 getting bent, scratched and burnt in a durability test, deciding that Apple has built a robust phone, but with a few reservations.

The video shows the black matte iPhone 7 surviving the applied heat, scratching and bending. In this video the iPhone 7 was put under extreme and unrealistic conditions, and despite that the phone seems to stand up to most of the tests.

One thing to highlight in this video is the YouTuber’s claims that the new Taptic Engine home button and rear lens cover are made of regular glass and not sapphire, contradicting Apple’s own specs sheet for the iPhone 7. These claims were later refuted by Apple marketing chief; Phil Schiller; confirming that the top of the home button and the lens cover are both made of sapphire.
