Indian Lava has launched a new tablet designed for students and young working professionals, according to the company’s announcement. The Lava Ivory M4 has a 7.9mm thin body packed with an 8-inch HD IPS display, 3G SIM connectivity and is priced at Rs. 9,299 (~$140 – £95 – €129 – $192 AUD) in India.
The 8 inch tablet has a HD 1280 x 800 screen resolution, 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek 8321 processor, ARM Mali 400 MP2 GPU, 4000mAh Li- Po battery, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of memory with 32GB microSD card slot option. It runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 and supports the usage of a 3G single-SIM.
In the camera department, there is an 8-Megapixel autofocus rear camera with 720p HD recording capability. The front of the Ivory M4 has a 3.2-Megapixel shooter that ideal for video calling. On the connectivity side, the tablet offers 3G, USB, WCDMA, GSM, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth.
