The newly announced LeEco Le 2 is now available for sale in China for ¥1099 (~$170 – £120 – €150 – $220 AUD). The phone comes with some decent specifications packed inside its sleek metallic body offered in Rose Gold colour option. The Le 2 has a slim profile, measuring 151.1 x74.2 x 7.5mm and weighing 153 grams.
The Le 2 comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p Full HD In-Cell touch screen with 403ppi. It is powered by world’s first 10-core MediaTek-XI X20 2.3GHz processor, Mali T880 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, and also hosts a 3,000mAh battery. The phone supports the use of two Nano SIMs with dual 4G connection.
LeEco has ditched the 3.5mm headphone jack from its Le 2 smartphones series. Instead, the company is now using Type-C connector to transfer audio codec to the included Type-C digital headphones. LeEco is promising an inferior stereo sound quality with CDLA (Continual Digital Lossless Audio).
In the camera department, there is a 16MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture, fast PDAF with two colour flash. The camera can record 4K Ultra-HD and 1080p FHD videos at 30fps and slow motion 720p HD videos at 120fps. The secondary 8MP front-facing camera has a 1.4µm pixels sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 76.5-degree wide angle lens.
Other features include; dual band (2.4/5GHz) Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.2, rear fingerprint scanner, GPS with A-GPS & GLONASS, USB Type-C port and Dolby Atmos audio system. The LeEco Le 2 ships with the company’s custom made EUI 5.6 skin based on Android operating system.
The LeEco Le 2 is expected to be made available globally in the near future. However local consumers in China can get their hands on the Rose Gold version of the L2 directly from LeMall.com.
