In addition to the Q6, Q6a, and Q6+ announced earlier this month, LG today introduced another smartphone in the company’s latest Q family – the all-new LG Q8 (model LG H970) is listed on the website of LG Italy and will be available for purchase unlocked starting later this month for €599.

The LG Q8 looks kind of similar to the LG V20, it even includes a secondary screen at the top. This secondary screen can be used to glance at notifications without powering the main 5.2-inch Quantum IPS, 1440 x 2560 pixels screen. The LG Q8 is constructed from metal and is IP67-certified, making it dust and water resistant. It survive up to 1 meter underwater for 30 minutes.

In the camera department, there is a dual rear camera with a 13MP 1.12µm + f/1.8 lens, and an 8MP wide-angle f/2.4 lens. The camera supports 4K video capture and also features OIS. At the front, there is a 5MP wide-angle camera which supports 1080p Full HD video capture.

The LG Q8 comes preloaded with Android 7.0 Nougat OS, and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM and 32 GB of expandable internal storage, 3,000mAh built-in battery. There is also a fingerprint scanner and Hi-Fi DAC (digital to analog converter) for superior audio quality. The devices measures 149 x 71.9 x 8 mm, weighs 146 grams, and is expected to come in other colours apart from the current black option.
