LG Electronics has introduced the LG Band Play new smartphone in South Korea. The device is available for local consumers through SK Telecom Co for ₩394,800 South Korean Won which is about $350 – £225 – €315.
The LG Band Play features a 5 inch HD display with resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, a 1.2GHz quad core 64-bit Qualcomm 410 Snapdragon 410 processor and Adreno 306 GPU paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage and a microSD slot. It is powered by 2300mAh removable battery.
The new device is equipped with a 13-Megapixel rear camera with LED flash, laser autofocus and wide-angle lens and a 5-Megapixel front-facing camera that supports LG Gesture View and Gesture Shot features.
In addition, the LG Band Play hosts a loudspeaker with 1W (watt) output promises rich and clear sound. The device runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with LG user interface out of the box. It supports LTE network connectivity, and has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.1 and NFC. It comes in White and Black with the QuadBeat 3 headphones in the box.
