LG shows off the camera capability of its latest flagship device by attaching the G4 smartphone to a drone and taking a video and still images of the surroundings using different modes and camera’s settings. The video was shot on April 8th in Sydney, Australia before the official announcement of the LG G4 which was unwrapped on 28th April at an event in New York.

LG is promising DSLR image quality with the G4’s 16 Megapixel main camera which has F/1.8 aperture Lens which is ideal for low light and portraits, this ultra-bright lens produces professional-looking photos that pop with clarity and detail.

LG G4 Camera Colour Spectrum Sensor

The camera has LG’s new Colour Spectrum Sensor positioned under the Dual-LED Flash at the back of the G4. It is an infrared-sensitive Colour Spectrum Sensor which analyzes and measures all of the visible light within a scene before a shot is snapped, ensuring that an image’s colours appear natural and vivid even in dim conditions.

LG G4 Camera Settings Modes

The camera has a Manual Mode which allows you to adjust the camera settings and tweak the lightness and darkness. You can control the Shutter speed, Exposure, White balance, Auto-exposure lock, ISO, Level gauge and the Manual focus. Also you can save your captured images as RAW & JPEG format, an option only available in professional cameras.

The camera also has a Laser Auto-Focus which helps to snap quick and clear pictures, and the Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) 2.0 improves optical image stabiliser that reduces camera shake.

The LG G4 is also equipped with a generous 8-Megapixel front-facing camera with LG’s Gesture View & Shot features allowing you to take quick selfies.

The G4 is also packed with other great specs, such as; the 5.5-inch curved Quad-HD IPS Quantum display, the Soft Arc Design & the comfortable erogomonic profile & stylish metallic silver finish, a large 3000mAh removable battery & 32GB of expandable memory via micro SD card slot up to 2TB, and the the Octa-core Snapdragon processor 808 64-bit combined with 3GB of RAM. The LG G4 is already up for pre-orders in the UK and Germany via the online retailer Amazon. The LG 4G SIM-Free Smartphone is now listed for pre-orders on Amazon UK for £599.99 which is about $920USD. Whereas Amazon Germany is listing the LG G4 for €649 for the Ceramic colors and €699 for the genuine Leather models. According to the UK listing, the new device is due to be released on May 28th.
