The LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE is now up for pre-ordering in the US through Verizon, with shipping set for April 1st. The LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE is an Android Wear powered smartwatch, that features 4G LTE cellular connectivity.
Without the need for your smartphone, the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE allows to answer calls and check messages anytime, anywhere without the assistance of a tethered smartphone. Using Verizon 4G LTE network you can check notifications and alerts, make calls and texts to friends and family directly from your smartwatch.
The LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE is compatible with Verizon Messages, so texting and calling from the watch will use your smartphone’s number. This creates a single phone number experience when texting and calling from different devices. And your messages inbox will sync across devices so you can start a texting conversation on your phone and then finish it on your watch.
The watch has a stainless steel body with three buttons on the right side, providing quick access to shortcut settings, as well as LG Health and apps. Additionally, an ambient mode can now be enabled or disabled with a simple press of the crown button. In addition to the 16 included watch faces, fitness-related features such as heart rate tracking, workout tips and stress level monitoring are also offered.
