Smartphone makers intend to rename and repackage the same product and relaunch it as a new one in different markets. Today, South Korean LG Electronics has launched its new LG Zero smartphone in Italy. A handset based on the LG Class announced in South Korea back in September.
The only difference between the new LG Zero and the LG Class is the name. The device’s exterior and internal hardware specifications are near identical. The LG Zero comes with a 2.5D Arc Glass on a 5-inch 720p HD IPS touch screen, 1.2GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, Adreno 306 GPU, 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory with a microSD option supports up to 2TB.
There is a 13-Megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, an 8-Megapixel front facing shooter and a 2050mAh non-removable battery powering the LG Zero, delivering up to 10 hours of 4G talk time. Additionally, the device has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, NFC and a Nano SIM slot supports 4G LTE connectivity. The LG Zero runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with LG UX 4.0 user interface on top.

The LG Zero measures 142 x 71.8 x 7.4mm, weighs 147 grams and comes in Silver and Rose Gold. Base on the LG Class which was priced at ₩399,300 Won (~ $340 – £220 – €300) when launched in South Korea, the LG Zero is expected to have a similar retail price when goes on sale this month in Italy.
