Today in China, the Meizu Pro 6 Plus was officially unveiled. The new flagship smartphone is packed with top-end hardware specs such as; 2K Always-On display that supports 3D Press (touch) technology, powerful processor from Samsung and a respectable Sony camera.The 5.7-inch phone has an On-cell Super AMOLED touchscreen with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution and 518 PPI (Pixels Per Inch). Powering the Meizu Pro 6 Plus is Samsung’s Exynos 8890 octa-core processor; the 2.0GHz chipset is paired with ARM Mali-T880 MP10 GPU and 64GB of UFS 2.0 native storage, and the 2.3GHz chipset is coupled with ARM Mali-T880 MP12 GPU and a super generous 128GB of UFS 2.0 storage. The low energy 4GB LPDDR4 RAM comes as standard with both versions.
To phone is fuelled with a 3,400mAh battery which can be charged using the built-in USB Type-C connector. There is no cutting corners with the Meizu Pro 6 Plus, the Chinese company has equipped this phone with a very decent cameras; a 12MP main camera with Sony IMX386 lens, Ƒ/2.0 aperture, 4-axis optical image stabilization, PDAF, Laser-assisted focusing and the iconic 10-LED dual color temperature ring flash. At the front, there is a 5MP secondary camera with Ƒ/2.0 aperture.
Other features on-board the Meizu Pro 6 Plus include; mTouch fingerprint scanner, Hi-Fi audio system with ES9018K2M 32-bit Stereo Mobile Audio DAC + AD45275 amp, 4G LTE, dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. The Meizu Pro 6 Plus comes pre-loaded with the company’s latest Android-based Flyme 6 out of the box in a choice of colors; Gold, Ash Gray and Moonlight Silver for ¥2,999 (~$435 – £348 – €410) 64GB and ¥3,299 (~$580 – £464 – €547) 128GB.
