Oppo has added a new phone to its A smartphone series; the Oppo A77s features a 50-megapixel camera and Snapdragon 680 processor.
The A77 5G was introduced by Oppo in June 2022, and a new 4G variant debuted in August 2022. The Oppo A77s is the company’s newest flagship smartphone and the third member of the A77 family.
The Oppo A77s is driven by a Snapdragon 680 SoC and ships with ColorOS 12.1, which is based on Android 12. It comes with 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM. The smartphone’s internal storage can be expanded by up to 1TB via a microSD card slot, and the RAM can be expanded in a virtual sense by up to 5GB.
The A77s is centred on a 6.56-inch, 90-hertz, HD+ LCD display. Its maximum brightness is 600 nits, and it’s shielded by Panda Glass (typical brightness is 480 nits). We’ve seen the Fibreglass-Leather Design on the back of a few other Oppo phones, such as the F21 Pro 4G, and it’s on display here as well. However, this is exclusive to the Sunset Orange model.
The smartphone, which is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor, features not one but three cameras: an 8MP front-facing camera, a 50MP main camera, and a 2MP monochrome camera on the back. The A77s also has a fingerprint scanner on the side, a 3.5mm 3.5 mm audio jack, and Dual Ultra Linear Stereo Speakers system with Dirac Sound. It’s IP54 dust & water proof, but it lacks 5G network support.
The Oppo A77s is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery, which can be recharged via USB-C at up to 33W. All of this is familiar because it is, except that the Oppo A77s is an updated version of the Oppo A77 4G with a newer processor and more memory.
With a price tag of THB8,999 (approx $241/€241), the Oppo A77s can be purchased from Thai e-commerce sites in either Sunset Orange or Starry Black. Nothing has been said about whether or not it will be sold in other countries.
