Chinese Oppo will unveil its flagship R9 and R9 Plus smartphones in China on March 17th. However, a Chinese website has posted a promotional poster of the upcoming devices revealing their price and some of the specifications.
According to the leaked image, the Oppo R9 will be priced at ¥2498 CNY (~$383 – £270 – €348 – $516 AUD). For that price the R9 device will be configured with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage and a 2850mAh battery with VOOC super-fast charge technology, allowing you to charge the device in no time; 5 mins of charge will deliver 2 hours of talk time. The R9 will also have a 5.5-inch 1080p Full HD AMOLED display.Oppo R9 Plus on the other hand will be offered with two storage capacities; 64GB and 128GB. It will be priced at ¥2998 CNY (~$460 – £324 – €418 – $619 AUD) and ¥3298 CNY (~$506 – £356 – €460 – $681 AUD), respectively. It will come with 4GB of RAM, a 4120mAh battery with VOOC super-fast charging capability and a 6-inch Quad-HD 1440x2560px AMOLED display.
In addition, both devices are expected to come with decent cameras; 13MP front facing camera and 16MP rear facing camera on-board the R9, whereas the R9 Plus will have a 16MP rear and front facing cameras. In terms of processors, the R9 Plus will be equipped with Snapdragon 652 CPU and MediaTek Helio P10 CPU for the R9. Both devices will be made available for sale in Gold and Rose Gold colour options with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS alongside Oppo’s custom made user interface.
