The Samsung External Power Bank is almost the same shape as the Galaxy S6 Edge smartphone. With its seamless sophisticated sleek metal look design and discreet curved edges, Samsung should have called it the “Galaxy S6 Edge Power Bank”, that would have made more sense.

The Samsung Galaxy Power Bank is “designed to measure”. It is the perfect companion to the Galaxy S6 Edge. It echos and shares the design of the Galaxy S6 Edge and the Galaxy S6. It is elegant and slim, yet with a solid build. It is capable of giving you the power you need on the go, and is presented in a stylish pack.[row][third_paragraph]

Its not the largest in capacity, inside its aluminium look chassis there is a 5200 milliampere hour (mAh) battery (2600 + 2600). But the Samsung External Power Bank is not only about power, it is about design and beauty and above all a statement of ownership. There are many other brands with higher mAh power capacity at half of the price or even cheaper.

Side by side with the Galaxy S6 Edge, the Samsung external battery is near identical in size to the S6 Edge. It is light-weight and ultra-thin measuring 71 x 141.6 x 9.8 mm and weighing 143 grams. The aluminium look case has a micro-USB port for charging the battery using your PC or laptop, a USB 2.0 to charge your device, and a power button with Four-level LED Battery Indicator. When pressed, it displays the level of the remaining power inside the battery ― four lights on means you have plenty of power left, one light flashing means it is time for a recharge.
It comes in a choice of striking Silver Titanium or Gold Platinum colours with a user guide and a very short charging cable, the cable is about 20cm in length, you can always use your standard charging cable if you want to use the device while charging.
The battery takes about 1 – 3 hours to be fully charged via a PC. Once charged you can use it to charge the Galaxy S6 Edge or any other device. The power coming through the battery bank is similar to the standard AC power charger, so charging your device should be fairly quick, of course that depends on your handset. It took approx 1 hour and 20mins to fully charge the Galaxy S6 Edge. We have managed to squeeze at least two charges out of it before it completely depleted.
To buy or Not to Buy? If battery capacity is not the main drive for purchasing the Samsung Battery Power Bank, then this battery is a great buy, particularly if you are looking for something to match your Galaxy S6 Edge design. However if the power capacity is the main reason and the design element comes second on your list, then this battery is not for you.

I purchased this item to go with the ZENDURE external battery.I wanted to have the appropriate charger when I charged the external battery which I did when I received it. It can charge more than one item at a time. Plus it gives a faster charge.More info : http://www.zendure.com/products/zdaz4p
