Samsung’s Galaxy A8 (2016) smartphone was previously leaked and listed on the benchmarking website; AnTuTu. However, today Samsung has finally decided to make its Galaxy A8 (2016) official in South Korea.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) looks kind of similar to its predecessor; the Galaxy A8. The 2016 Galaxy A8 also comes with a full metal body packed with a 5.7-inch 1080p Full HD screen with the Always On Display feature, Samsung’s Exynos 7420 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB expandable storage.
The device also hosts a 3,500mAh battery, 16-Megapixel main camera along with an 8-Megapixel secondary camera at the front. The Galaxy A8 (2016) is equipped with a fingerprint scanner that supports Samsung Pay, and ships with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS.
The Galaxy A8 (2016) will be up for pre-order in South Korea exclusively through SK Telecom for 649,000 WON (~$580), starting tomorrow, October 1st. There is no official word about global availability at this point, but make sure to stay tuned for more updates.
