Samsung is said to be working on a new Galaxy A8 device which could soon see the light and join the Galaxy A series.
According to Sammobile, the new Galaxy A8 model no: SM-A800F will be offered to consumers in the Chinese market only, however this and the below specifications may all change as the device is still in the development stage.
The new Galaxy A8 will come with a large display, a 5.7-inch to be precise, it is a full-HD Super AMOLED display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The device will be powered by an Octa-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor paired with a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage with microSD slot that supports up to 128GB of storage expansion.
The Galaxy A8 is expected to be equipped with a generous 16-Megapixel main camera with Auto-Focus and Flash, and a 5-Megapixel front-facing camera. There is a large 3050mAh battery on-board to power the new Galaxy A8. The device will have a slim profile, measuring 158 x 76.77 x 5.94 mm and weighing 151 grams.
Android 5.0 Lollipop with the new and simplified TouchWiz UX are said to power the new Galaxy A8. The device will support 4G/LTE network connectivity, and Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and fingerprint sensor will come as standard on the A8.
Also, Samsung is said to have applied for trademarks for the Galaxy A6, A8 and A9, so we can only assume that the Galaxy A conveyor belt will be producing more all-metal Galaxy A smartphones to add to the A series.
