Samsung has listed two new Galaxy devices on its China website – The new Galaxy J7 (2016) and Galaxy J5 (2016) are decent smartphones with respectable hardware specifications.
Starting with the Galaxy J7, the largest of the two with its 5.5-inch 1080p Full HD Super AMOLED screen, powerful octa-core 1.6GHz processor, 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage with microSD option and a 3,300mAh battery.
Camera wise, the Galaxy J7 is equipped with F/1.9 13MP rear and 5MP front cameras. Measuring 151.7 x 76 x 7.8mm and weighing 170g, the Galaxy J7 (2016) has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE connectivity, dedicated dual SIM slot and NFC, making it compatible with Samsung Pay.
Moving quickly to the slightly smaller version, the Galaxy J5 is configured with a 5.2-inch 720p HD Super AMOLED display, quad-core 1.2GHz processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB expandable internal storage and a good size 3,100mAh battery.
Like the J7, the Galaxy J5 has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP frontal camera with F/1.9 aperture on both sides. The device measures 145.8 x 72.3 x 8.1mm and weighs 159g. The J5 2016 also has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, dual SIM, LTE and NFC with the support of Samsung pay.

Both new Galaxies come in white, gold and rose gold colour options. Although the price and availability are not listed on the South Korean’s China website, both phones will be offered via China Mobile in China. They are also expected to be made available for sale in the next few weeks in other markets with a competitive price point.
