Samsung has quietly launched the successor of last year’s Galaxy On7 smartphone in China. The Samsung Galaxy On7 (2016) is now available for sale to consumers in China for ¥1599 (~$240 – £185 – €215) through Samsung.com.The South Korean company has also listed the Galaxy On5 (2016) on the company’s China website with 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 MSM8952 octa-core SoC. Samsung didn’t list the complete specifications or the pricing of the Galaxy On5 (2016). However the device is expected to launch soon in China.Both Galaxies have metal bodies that come in Gold, Rose Gold, Silver and Black. The Samsung Galaxy On7 (2016) measures 151.7 x 75 x 8mm and weighs 167 grams. It is configured with a 5.5-inch 1920x1080px Full HD TFT touch screen with 2.5D curved glass. Powering the Galaxy On7 (2016) is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 MSM8953 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz and is paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage up to 256GB with microSD. The phone also hosts a decent size 3,300mAh battery.In the camera department, Samsung has equipped the Galaxy On7 (2016) with a 13-Megapixel main camera with f/1.9 aperture, flash and 1080p Full HD video recording capability at 30fps (frames per second). At the front, there is an 8-Megapixel f/1.9 secondary shooter.The Galaxy On7 (2016) is a dual SIM (4G+2G) device with 4G LTE support. It has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n 2.4GHz, BT v4.2, GPS with Glonass & Beidou, 3.5mm headphone jack and a fingerprint scanner, and also comes preloaded with Samsung’s Knox security app and Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface.
