Samsung has launched a new accessory for its Gear S2 smartwatch. The new Gear S2 Band Adapter is designed to give Gear S2’s owners the option to customize their smartwatch. With the Band Adapter, now the Gear S2 is compatible with standard 20mm watch straps, including the Gear S2 classic strap.
The Gear S2 Band Adapter comes in two colours; dark grey and silver. The lightweight stainless steel adapter is strong and durable, fitting seamlessly onto the Gear S2, giving the smartwatch a wider range of looks, including leather, metal and ceramic.
Samsung is currently offering the Gear S2 Band Adapter in Germany, Singapore and South Africa, however the South Korean company said it will soon be expanding the new Gear S2 Band Adapter to more countries around the world, presumably through Samsung.com and other retailers.
