Samsung India today launched its first 4G enabled Tizen-powered smartphone – The Samsung Z2 is an entry-level smartphone powered by Samsung’s Tizen platform and is offered at a very reasonable price.
The Samsung Z2 comes pre-loaded with essential apps and Samsung’s popular ‘Make for India’ features such as the Ultra Data Saving mode, S bike mode and the new My Money Transfer, to drive smartphone adoption.
The Samsung Z2 is configured with a 4-inch WVGA screen, 1.5GHz Quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory expandable up to 128GB with a microSD card. The 4G device supports the use of dual SIMs.
The Z2 is fuelled by a 1,500mAh battery that has the ‘Ultra Power Saving mode’, which keeps the phone operational, even at minimal battery levels. Additionally, the Samsung Z2 is equipped with a 5-Megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera.
Samsung Z2 has been priced at INR 4,590 (~$70 – £50 – €60) and will be made available in India from August 29, 2016, in three colours; Gold, Black and Red across mobile phone retail stores. For online consumers, the Samsung Z2 is also available exclusively through the online retailer; Paytm.com.
