Samsung conducts the Galaxy Beta Programme which is owned, managed and operated by Samsung independently for providing a better experience and reliable software based on user feedback.
If you participate in the Galaxy Beta Programme, you have an opportunity to experience new features and the latest UX based on Android 7.0 Nougat first.
During the Galaxy Beta Programme, you can directly send us your feedback and experience about performance, stability and usability which will help us to improve software.

This Beta software is not the official version so it may cause unexpected errors or malfunction.
Also it may not contain the full feature set compared with the final official software.

2. How can I participate in Galaxy Beta Programme?
Please download the ‘Galaxy Beta Programme’ application from Galaxy Apps.
After installation, submit a ‘Galaxy Beta Programme’ application form through ‘Registration’ menu on the top of the app.
If you have a Samsung Account and meet all participation criteria, your registration process will be completed and you may be selected.

3. How can I install beta software?
After finishing the Galaxy Beta Programme registration process, click on the ‘Software Update’ menu (Setting – Device information – download updates).

4. If I participate in Galaxy Beta Programme and download it, do I have to pay for it?
This programme is free except for the wireless charges you may incur for software installation and updates. Using your data network may incur cost so we recommend you download and update software using a Wi-Fi connection.

5. How can I send feedback to Samsung?
After installing beta software, please launch the ‘Galaxy Beta Programme’ app.
You can send performance-related feedback such as errors, malfunctions and poor performance through ‘Error Reports’ menu. If you have any UX/UI related feedback, such as new suggestions for usability, please send these via ‘Suggestion’ menu.
Also you can send general opinions about beta software via the ‘Contact us’ menu.

6. Is there any reward for participating in Galaxy Beta Programme?
Galaxy Beta Programme is available to users who opt in for the opportunity to experience new and upcoming software and wish to contribute to the Samsung Galaxy community.

7. Is Beta software confidential?
The participants agree to use this beta software only for personal, non-commercial purposes, and must follow in the appropriate Terms and Conditions

8. Any preparation such as data backup needed for Galaxy Beta Programme?
Unexpected data loss can occur during Beta programme.
Samsung strongly recommends users backup all data using the Smart Switch PC version before installing Beta software. (www.samsung.com/smartswitch)
Errors and malfunctions may occur due to compatibility issues, so Samsung also recommends users update all apps to the latest version available.

9. How can I quit Galaxy Beta Programme?
You can cancel through the ‘Deregister’ menu in the ‘Galaxy Beta Programme’ app.
In order to use the official software and services, be sure to reinstall(rollback) the final version of the official software.
You can re-install software by using the Smart Switch PC software. Once the software is re-installed, the device will be reset and all data which generated during Galaxy Beta Programme will be erased.
Also all data which had been backed up before installing beta software can be recovered but data which has been created after installing beta software may have limitation to recover.

Samsung Service Center also supports re-install the official software.

10. How can I restore the official software during Beta Programme?
You can re-install the official software by using the Smart Switch PC software.
(You can download it from this link – http://www.samsung.com/us/smart-switch).
Please connect your phone to your PC and launch Smart Switch PC software, then you can find the menu option ‘Update’ or ‘Device Initialization’ for restoration.

11. After finishing Beta Programme, is it possible to keep using beta software?
Yes, you can use the beta software until the new official version is released.
Once the official version released, you can update.

12. What if an error occurs while installing beta software. What should I do?
Galaxy Beta Programme is run by Samsung, independently conducted without network operators.
If errors occur during software installation, Samsung service center will support recovery.

13. If My device is repaired by a Service center during the Galaxy Beta Programme due to a malfunction, can I re-install beta software again?
You can update software with the latest official version or reset in Service Center.
