With many phone manufacturers moving towards producing smartphones free from the widely used 3.5mm headphone jack, Sony is taking a different approach to the issue. The Japanese company is focusing on improving the high-resolution audio technology in its Xperia lineup.
Removing the headphone jack from future phones doesn’t automatically deliver a user-friendly experience. In fact, it does the opposite. It is very inconvenient to say the least. Simply, because you need to carry an additional adapter or adapters to use your existing headphones. Also, you are limited when using your phone, as you have to choose, whether to charge the device, or listen to your music, you can’t do both, unless you possess a special adapter.Well, the good news is that, Sony Mobile has no plans to remove the 3.5mm headphone jack from its future Xperia devices, according to a report from ePrice. So, there you have it, if you don’t want an iPhone 7 or an Android device that lacks the use of the widely used 3.5mm headphone jack, you can always get yourself an Xperia phone from Sony and use any of your existing headphones with it.
