The new Sony Xperia Ear is a new smart way of communicating with the world. The earpiece allows you to send and receive messages, check your schedule, traffic and weather, and also search and navigate around the city. All without picking up your smartphone. It is the perfect companion to the Xperia X Performance, Xperia X and Xperia XA.

Just talk to it. It personalises the information that reads out to you. The Xperia Ear lets you carry on communicating while enjoying the world around you. It reads out messages, notifications, weather, news and more. So whatever you’re doing you don’t need to miss a thing. You can personalise its settings to deliver info and updates for the day ahead.

It’s like your personal assistant. Just say what you need from your phone using voice commands and the Xperia Ear will do it for you. The voice commands include; making a call, asking it to play your favourite track or dictating a quick message.

Xperia Ear’s ear-piece is ergonomically crafted from soft silicone to sit snugly in your ear. It is built to feel and look great. It is lightweight, weighing only 6g. It has a sleek, stylish design that also very comfortable to wear all day.

The Xperia Ear measures 29.5 x 15.2 x 25.2mm and the charging case measures 60 x 29 x 41mm. In addition to its lightweight and comfortable design, the Xperia Ear is also IPX2 certified, offering a protection from water drops when the its tilted up to and including 15° for at least 10 minutes.

The Xperia Ear comes with a matching case that doubles as a charger. So if you’re out and about and running low on battery, just pop it in the case to refuel it. Although there is no word on pricing, the Xperia Ear is expected to be made available for sale through its maker at Sony.com
