Neffos, a smartphone brand recently established by TP-Link, joined this year’s Mobile World Congress with the launch of its two smartphones; the 5-inch Neffos X1 and the 5.5-inch Neffos X1 Max.

Both phones feature dual-curved metallic rear covers, coupled with slim body frames; 7.95mm for the X1 and 7.85mm for the X1 Max. The devices are protected from bumps, fingerprints, and smudges by a 2.5D curved-edge glass.

The Neffos X1 and X1 Max are powered by MediaTek octa-core chipset which is paired with as much as 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There is also a slot for a microSD card with up to 128GB storage capacity.

There is a fingerprint sensor mounted on the back of both devices. The Neffos X1 and X1 Max are also fitted with a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone flash, phase-detection auto-focus, 5-element lens, and backside illumination. The front bears a 5-megapixel camera that features a wide-angle lens.

In terms of power, the X1 is armed with a 2,250mAh battery and X1 Max is packed with a 3,000mAh battery that supports fast charging. Both phones runs the outdated Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.

Both phones come in two configurations, the Neffos X1 comes with 2GB of RAM + 16GB ROM and 3GB RAM + 32GB of ROM. The Neffos X1 Max comes with 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM and 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM, which is the top-end version.

The Neffos X1 is available in Cloudy Grey and Sunrise Gold variants across most countries in Western and Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. The Neffos X1 Max, on the other hand, will hit those markets in the second quarter this year.
