Last week Verizon said it will not be pushing the Galaxy Note 7 update that would render the device useless for the sake of customers who choose to continue using the device during the holiday season, however, now it seems that the company has changed its mind and decided to kill the Galaxy Note 7.

Verizon said that it will start pushing the update remotely on January 5th, 2017, after the holiday season ends. However, the company continues to urge its customers to stop using the Galaxy Note7, upgrade it to another device, and return it.
