A new day, a new phone, actually this time two. Chinese Vivo has launched a couple of new V smartphones in India – Vivo V3 and Vivo V3 Max packed with metallic bodies, octa-core processors, and also fast fingerprint sensor and Quick Charge 2.0 technology on-board the latter. According to Vivo, the new phones offer ‘Faster than Faster’ unbeatable speed with premium features–faster RAM, Vivo V3 Max – Specifications faster charging and faster fingerprint unlocking.

Lets dig-in and see what the new phones really offer. Vivo says the fingerprint scanner can unlock the V3 Max as fast as 0.2 seconds, and 0.5 seconds in sleep mode. The V3 Max metal body hosts a 5.5-inch 1080p Full HD display with 2.5D arc Corning Gorilla Glass. The screen-split feature allows you to multitask without having to switch back and forth. You can chat and watch videos simultaneously on one screen.

The 4G device runs Funtouch OS 2.5 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The V3Max also comes with a 3000mAh battery that supports dual fast charging engines adopted by Qualcomm QC 2.0 technology. The device is equipped with 13MP rear and 8MP front cameras.

The phone is powered by 2550mAh battery, Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage which can be supplemented by 128GB microSD card. The Vivo V3 hosts the same camera hardware as the V3 Max; a 13MP primary and 8MP secondary cameras.

As for price and availability, the Vivo V3 and V3 Max will be available in Indian the market for Rs. 17,980 (~$270 – £190 – €237 – $359 AUD) and Rs. 23,980 (~$360 – £255 – €317 – $478 AUD) respectively. It is unknown if the Vivo V3 and V3 Max will make it into other markets, we just have to wait for any future announcement.
