Chinese Vivo has launched a new smartphone for the Indian consumers – the V5s features a 20 Megapixel front facing camera and comes with a retail price of Rs. 18,990 (~$295) from Flipkart.

The Vivo V5s is equipped with a 5.5-inch 720p HD IPS touchscreen and is powered by MediaTek MT6750 processor aided by 4GB of RAM. The device also hosts a 64GB of internal storage and is fuelled by a 3,000mAh battery.

As well as the 20 Megapixel front-facing camera, the Vivo V5s is also armed with a 13 Megapixel rear camera. Both cameras come with a flash. There is also a fingerprint scanner at the front. The V5s runs the outdated Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS alongside the company’s Funtouch OS 3.0 user interface.

Indian consumers can get the Vivo V5s in two colours; Rose Gold and Matte Black online, as well as in retail outlets.
