Chinese Vivo has launched two new smartphones for selfie-obssessed folks in the company’s home town China. The new Vivo X9s and X9s Plus are packed with top-end specs such as; Vivo’s signature sleek metal body and dual front-facing cameras.

Both, the Vivo X9s and Vivo 9Xs feature dual front-facing camera that uses 20MP and 5MP sensors with f/2.0 aperture and front-facing flash. There is also a 16MP f/2.0 rear camera with LED flash. The X9 series supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS connectivity. Both devices can be unlocked using the fingerprint scanner mounted at the front.There is also a 3,320mAh battery on-board the Vivo 9Xs and 4,015mAh on-board the Vivo 9Xs Plus. The former is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset, whereas the latter is powered by more powerful chip; Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 chipset. Both processors are aided by 4GB of RAM.

The Vivo 9Xs uses a 5.5-inch 1080p FHD AMOLED panel and a slightly larger screen panel for the Plus version, a 5.85-inch, also an AMOLED with Full HD 1080px resolution. Both phones ship with Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS alongside Vivo’s Funtouch OS 3.0 user interface.

Price wise, the Vivo X9s is priced at ¥2,698 (~$396 – €347), whereas the Vivo X9s Plus is priced at ¥2,998 (~$440 – €385). Both Vivos’ phones are available in China with no news about global availability for fans around the world. Watch this space for more updates 😉
