Samsung has adopted Quantum dot display for its 2016 SUHD TVs. Each of the nanometer-sized particles that comprise the Quantum dot display expresses precise and pure colour, creating state-of-the-art picture quality that stands the test of time. Compared to its 2015 SUHD TVs, Samsung’s second-generation Quantum dot technology enables TVs to express more brightness with less energy consumption. All 2016 SUHD TVs now have 1000 HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology, with a maximum brightness of 1,000 nit, providing detailed images from a vivid colour range, even when watching in bright daytime conditions.
