After unveiling the Mi Max 2 in China last month, Xiaomi has now launched the device in Malaysia through the retailer DirectD for RM1,499 which is about $350 USD. The device is offered in the colour gold option with 64GB of internal storage on-board.
The main feature of the Mi Max 2 is the battery. The device is fuelled by a rather large 5,300mAh fast charging battery which can easily deliver up to days of normal usage. Other features include; a 6.44-inch 1080p Full HD display, stereo speakers, Snapdragon 625 Octa-Core processor, 4GB of RAM, USB Type-C connector, dual SIM slot and a fingerprint scanner.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is also equipped with a 12-megapixel f/2.2 Sony IMX386 primary camera with PDAF and dual-tone LED flash, and also a 5-Megapixel f/2.0 secondary shooter at the front. With the Mi Max 2 you can capture 4K videos and 720p slow motion videos at 120fps.
