Chinese Xiaomi has launched its Mi Max 2 smartphone to consumers in India. The Mi Max 2 is priced at Rs. 16,999 (~$265) and is set to hit local retailers online and offline on July 27th. The phone will also be made available at Mi Home and Mi.com on 20th and 21st of July.
The Mi Max 2 is built on the ground of its predecessor the Mi Max. The former also uses the same 6.44-inch big touchscreen which embedded in a new aluminium unibody. The device is also powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset aided by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of flash storage.
The Mi Max 2 is equipped with a new 12-Megapixel Sony IMX386 camera at the rear, stereo speakers and a super large 5,300mAh battery which supports Quick Charge 3.0. The Mi Max 2 phone ships preloaded with MIUI 8 user interface which is based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS and will get upgraded to MIUI 9 later this year.
